Root Certificate Installation on Windows Mobile 5.0 and 2003 SE

This is a graphical version of our instructions from this page.

1. Download the root certificate from the RapidSSL web site on to your desktop.
2. Double click on the certificate.
   
   
    
3. Click on the tab "Details" and choose "Copy to File".
   
   
    
4. The "Certificate Export Wizard" will now start. Click Next on the first screen.
   
   
    
5. Choose "DER encoded Binary" and click next.
   
   
    
6. Give the file a new name ending in .cer
   
   
    
7. Click Next.
   
   
    
8. Click on Finish and the export will complete.
   
   
    
9. Use Active Sync to transfer this file to the Windows Mobile device. You can also beam it, or use Bluetooth.
   
   
    
10. On the Windows Mobile device, us File Explorer to find the file and click on it.
11. You should get a prompt about installing the certificate. Accept the prompt.
    
    
     
12. Verify that the certificate is installed, in Settings, System, Certificates and select Root.
