This features needs to be enabled first, and then to get the best from the function it needs to be tuned. There are two ways to tune the Clear Type Settings Online Microsoft have produced an online tuner which uses an ActiveX control. This online guide steps you through the process of enabling and then adjusting the settings: Note: When you click on the link, a Security warning will appear before the web page has loaded. This is to allow Microsoft's web site to access your machine to make the changes. It has been generated from Microsoft's web site, not from here. Control Panel Applet Microsoft have also introduced a Control Panel applet as part of their Power Toys for Windows XP. This download will put an additional icon in to your Control Panel to adjust the feature. You can download this Power Toy along with the others from Microsoft's web site: | |
