Broadband - Exchange With Exchange New Message with Offline folders and Address book Use GALMOD to Update Your Removing the password General Outlook Tips Resetting or Disabling Default fonts for message editing |
Author: Simon Butler MVP:Exchange Last Page Review: 30/04/2006 When you delete an email in Outlook, it is sent to the Deleted Items folder. This is like the recycle bin on your desktop.
If you are not connected to a Microsoft Exchange Server this permanently deletes the item. There is no way of getting it back. If you are fortunate enough to be connected to an Exchange Server, you maybe able to use the "Recover Deleted Items" feature. See this page for information on using this capability. It is also possible to set Outlook to clean out your deleted items directory when you close Outlook. This option can be set in Outlook main options, under Other - General. This option should be used with care, as each time you exit Outlook, anything in the deleted items folder will be deleted. If you frequently delete things in error, then this option is not for you. | |||||||||||||||||||||
